The Cultural and Tourist Information Center La Sebastiana was inaugurated on January 5, 2007.
It is a project of the Pablo Neruda Foundation in conjunction with the University of Valparaiso, who throughout his career in Tourism Management and Culture, is responsible for its operation. It was built with input from the Pablo Neruda Foundation and the Andes Foundation during 2005 and 2006.
The Center provides cultural and tourist information throughout the V region, as well as information about Pablo Neruda, his poetry and his relationship with Valparaiso. Those who visit can access all information through computers and printed materials.
With this initiative, the Pablo Neruda Foundation hopes to continue contributing to tourism and cultural development of the V region and continue to strengthen ties with other institutions.
The opening hours of the center is the same as the museum house. Admission is free and independent of the house-museum.
